Yes, these are on-stage audio drama-style performances, which rely on sound - dialogue, music, and sound effects, to tell a story. The plays will be staged before a live audience.

The performances will be audio recorded and later available to a wider audience in an audio format.

Q: When will this festival take place?
On the weekend of October 24, 25, and 26, 2025. There will be two evening performances, one on Friday evening, one on Saturday evening, and a Sunday matinee. A different play will be presented on each day. More details to follow.

The 2025 festival will take place at The Gargoyle Theatre, 585 Ellice Avenue, in Winnipeg.
Q: What plays will be presented?
For our inaugural festival, we will be presenting Fifth Date by Andrew Davidson, Condo Down Under by The Old Elmwood Radio Theatre, and Emergency Ops by Hayden Maines. To learn more about our schedule, click here.
Q: How are the participating plays chosen for the Festival?
As this festival is a debut with only 3 productions, they will take part by invitation. The intention is to highlight different styles of audio productions and appeal to as wide a range of subject matter as possible.
Q: Will this always be by invitation only?
No, going forward, the festival will be open to all Manitoba theatre artists with original works.
